Our story

Farmstead Meats was founded by Jeff, a butcher with a lifelong passion for quality meat and a deep respect for the farmers who raise it.

After years of watching butcher-quality, traceable meat become harder for everyday Aussie families to access, Jeff set out to fix it - building a genuine paddock-to-plate model with a carefully selected network of Australian farming partners.

Every cut is prepared with the same craft and care Jeff has brought to butchery his whole life, because Aussie families deserve better than what the supermarket shelf has to offer.

Jeff had watched the industry drift toward convenience over quality for years.

High-volume operations like supermarkets can't afford to age meat on the bone the way a master butcher would, instead relying on shortcuts like wet aging in cryovac bags. At Farmstead Meats we do things differently.

Every whole body is broken down by our expert butchers and then aged up to 14 days on the bone, allowing the meat to develop a richer, deeper flavour.

  • Single source origin

    All cattle are single-origin, that means our farmer cares for it from birth (or from a very young age) all the way through its natural life cycle. The animals are grass-fed, slow-grown, and never given additives or hormones.

  • aged for depth of flavour

    We age our beef for up to 14 days, letting it rest and develop flavour the proper way. During this time, natural moisture dries, concentrating taste and improving texture.

  • Always fresh, never frozen

    After ageing, our butchers carefully break the carcass down and portion-cut your order. Your meat is prepared and packed the very same day it's butchered - never frozen, never sitting in storage.
