At Farmstead Meats, we pride ourselves on delivering fresh, high-quality produce and meat through our cold-chain delivery partners. Because our products are perishable, this policy explains when refunds or replacements may apply and how to contact us if something goes wrong.

 


 

1. Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds or returns for change of mind. Once an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled or amended by you. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to cancel any order in whole or in part for reasons including product unavailability, pricing or product errors, or suspected unauthorised or fraudulent activity. If we cancel an order after payment, you’ll receive a full refund to your original payment method.

 


 

2. Perishable Goods and Quality Concerns

All of our products are perishable. We handle them carefully, but if an order arrives damaged, missing items, or not of acceptable quality, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

Include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the product and packaging

We will investigate and, where your claim is validated under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), provide one of the following remedies at our discretion:

  • A refund to your original payment method, or

  • A replacement or store credit for the value of the affected items.

 


 

3. Delivery Issues

You’ll receive multiple text message updates from our delivery partner, including estimated delivery times and confirmation once your order has been delivered. A photo proof of delivery is provided when available.

If your parcel can’t be delivered because of incorrect details, unsafe access, or no safe place to leave it, we may charge a redelivery fee or refund the order minus shipping and handling costs.

Once a delivery is completed at the address provided (including when you’ve authorised the courier to leave it unattended), risk and responsibility for the products passes to you. We are not liable for spoilage or loss due to delayed collection or improper storage after delivery.

 


 

4. Australian Consumer Law Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

 


 

5. How Refunds Are Processed

If a refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 3 to 5 business days, depending on your bank or card provider. We’ll notify you once your refund has been issued.
